They finally have a decent design (except for the stick placement haha). It's a controller that you hold in your hands like the 360's, not with your fingers like the DS3
Regarding the title; I suppose it *could* be the worst one yet, too early to tell though, no?
CELL was a disaster for Sony
I'm mad about this game's complete mediocrity
That's when YOU play. Some of us like to talk to people.
Talk is cheap. As long as you and other who feel the same way will pay Sony (and MS) won't change a thing.
It won't sit well with you but will you hold your nose and pay it?
This is an enthusiast site though, passions are going to run high; it's the nature of a hobby. Go to a stamp collecting or a kite flying site and there's just as much controversy. Or how about a site that discusses movies or sports teams? People get passionate about the things they care about. You'll have your trolls (cgoodno gave an excellent example above) but there's some good discussion here still, not as much as I'd personally like but it's also a more light-h...
Good news.
The only reason I could see MS blocking used games now is if they have some massive exclusivity deals with publishers (COD/GTA5/Battlefield etc), either lengthy timed or permanent. Otherwise I don't see how they'd benefit.
Those were fair complaints, I would have liked to see the actual console.
I'm digging the new dual shock though, Sony has me leaning towards dumping MS next gen. The ball is in Redmond's court. I think it'll come down to price for most. If the rumored specs of Durango are true (no reason to believe that they're set in stone, 24 hours ago we thought that the PS4 would have 4 gig of DDR5) then it should be a good deal cheaper than Sony's console.
I suspect that most people here will be OK with a vast majority of features behind a paywall
This is pretty obvious, no?
I love Gearbox. Borderlands is my favorite new IP this generation. I will buy every piece of DLC they put out for it.
But Randy talks too much.
He needs to sit in a corner and be quiet for awhile.
The IGN article states that MS's losses were due to a write down over a bad investment that they made (some kind of online advertising firm). According to that article the 360's division saw a 20% increase in revenue. Sony's losses in recent years have been tied to their TV division. The PS3 cost them buckets of money but it's been profitable for them for quite some time. And those consoles are OLD, the market is saturated with them.
The WiiU is a new ma...
Looking good Sony!
Nicely written blog with well thought out, coherent arguments. I don't agree that MS is going to focus on the Wii crowd, the ones who bought it for Wii Sports. If they do target them specifically in any way it will be with services, not games. Both the PS4 and the Durango are going to be much more than just game boxes. Traditional gamers might not like it but there it is, it's happening as we speak.
Edit: And yeah, I agree with you about the WiiU, Nintendo is in b...
N4G hates everything. It's the internet and gamers are a cynical bunch
WiiU is a bomb, Vita is a likely one too.
Ninty is in trouble with this thing.
That title is killing me, can a Mod please fix?
